Incline Problem Example

Here's my answer for problem 3 on the two body problem sheet...

Here's a link to my work, the video is a bit blurry because I had to do a screencast of a video of a screencast in order to get the audio.

Seriously?  Sounds like some of you donkeys struggled to come up with questions to ask about that video?
Here's the follow up, which I think should help with problem 3 on the webassign.  I'll answer webassign questions in the AM, if you have any, send them my way, if you have already, thanks for your patience!

Little ditty, about Bob and Jane...

Alright, here's a little video about the first part of Bob and Jane...  #MOM

Atwood's Machine Sample Calculations

The sheet with the insurance letter regarding the worker that had the very bad day is an example of a type of machine called an Atwood's Machine.  They are a very common problem scenario in physics, and are just a slight bit more complicated than the elevator analysis.  The intro lab that we did for UBFPM is considered to be a modified Atwood's in that you have a system with two masses, either side of a pulley, experiencing the same magnitude acceleration.  This video will detail how to analyze that situation for a couple of cases.

...and of course, here are those notes in pdf form.

...and here's the link to the Bob and Jane worksheet, in case we run out of copies.

Bonus Track:
Hat Tip to Nicole R. for sharing this related gem the other day.

Elevator FBDz Follow Up

Here's a quick follow up on the elevator video analysis we started and stopped and started and stopped over the course of the last week.  Anyway, this is a useful foundation for some of the more complex UBFPM problems you'll encounter.  Here's a video wrapping up the Fu = ma end of things.

...and here's a pdf of those notes, if that's what you're into.
